Over the weekend I attended celebrity makeup artist Kelvin Myers Makeup, Beauty and Beyond class. I love makeup as you guys know and he has beat my face several times for photoshoots! He has done many faces with women in the entertainment business and also ladies that just want to look and feel beautiful. I got a chance to see Kelvin work his magic at his intimate makeup workshop and ask some great makeup questions. The attendees got a chance to watch Kelvin apply makeup to two models with different skin tones, work on each other and they left with their own makeup goody bag. For those of you out there that are makeup junkies, aspiring makeup artist etc, check out what Kelvin had to say. I had a great time at his event and learned a lot! xoxo
Great skin starts with LOTS of water, 64 ounces.
Eat lots of green leafy vegetables.
How do you know what type of skin you have? If you wash your face and it gets immediately tight. You have dry skin. If you are oily within an hour you have oily skin. If you are oily in the afternoon, you have normal skin.
Use a toner with NO alcohol. Use an oily treatment toner, it helps balance the skin.
One to two times a month exfoliate the skin.
Water based liquid foundations work best and adhere best with a good exfoliation.
Always moisturize your skin with an oil free moisturizer.
Concealer should match under your eyebrow.
Brows frame the face. Beauty brand Smashbox makes a great brow tech powder w/wax to tame eyebrows.
Apply bronzer to cheeks, temples, nose, chin and forehead for that glow. You can also apply different blush colors to a brush and use the lighter color first, then darker color for a different look.

I gotta write some of this stuff down good points, I exfoilate every other day followed by cocoa butter and or vaseline so I guess I need to stop
Gosh I need to seriously step up my skincare game big time. Ugh! Definitely need to drink more water. Thanks for these tips, much needed!
