About a month ago, I got a chance to meet a lady by the name of Raquel. She performed at an event I hosted and I was in awh. I found out that she was once a man and now lives as a woman. I don’t know a lot about the transgendered and gay community but I am learning fast. I have a good friend named Chavien who keeps me abreast of things going on in their community.

He told me that Raquel performs every week at a club called, Jungle Club. I was jumping up and down and told him that I wanted to go see her perform live! So Chavien came and got me and we were off last night to see the show.

In the car I asked Chavien a million questions about the lifestyle and why do men dress like women, and the whole nine. He explained a lot of things to me, I felt so ignorant. I love all people and I try not to judge what they do. I find their lifestyle very glamourous and artsy plus the wardrobe,hair and makeup application is the bomb!
We sat in the V.I.P. section and I saw this huge stage. The M.C.’s for the evening was Ms.Sophia McIntosh,Joe Jackson and Dominque Rashad. They kept the crowd laughing and full of energy. I thought I was going to get sleepy, since I’m not a night person but I was fully awake lol.
The show started and performers started coming out one by one lip synching and dancing to their favorite songs. Some performed to gospel, r&b,pop and reggae. All the performers did an amazing job and all resembled a celebrity entertainer in some way. I was very impressed with the show and plan on going back to see more performances.

The last act of the night was Raquel. She came out in a reggae styled costume and she tore the house down. She is very tall and demands attention when she is on stage. People rushed the stage with money and if Im not mistaken one fan gave her a hundred dollar bill. She looked stunning to me.
