A Sneak Peek into “A Legendary Event”

Once you walk into this gorgeous, jaw-dropping company and you will know why they are called A Legendary Event. They specialize in decor, floral and catering, and whatever else your little party-going heart desires. Legendary Tony Conway built an international reputation in catering and special events and is well known for his memorable parties, events and world-class galas. An award-winning caterer in Atlanta, he started this innovative business twelve years ago and has been creating legends ever since. Pia and I had the pleasure to get a sneak peek into what’s happening at A Legendary Event for the holidays. It was amazing to see what they can create for your holiday needs, weddings, parties and just name it!  We were wowed by their attention to detail and creativity.

Mr. Wonderful, Tony Conway

Upon entering the multi-faceted enterprise the first thing that caught our attention was the arbor composed of beautifulorganza ribbon and crystals dangling from above. We learned about this breath-taking installation from Steve Welsh, Chief Creative Director, who shared his amazing passion for design. This creation definitely had a wow factor and designs like these are available for any event.  As we were escorted into several tasting rooms to experience the wonders of their events and cuisine, we were taken back by how awe-inspiring these creations were at every turn, simply amazing!

The floral department shared some of the trends this season are flowers placed in birch vases, mercury glass in jewel tones, bright colored blues and reds, and colored metallics. Jeanna Graham the head of floral design, told us another popular trend is yellows, whites, creams and anything green and organic. She said, “the main thing is to keep the designs interesting, fun and fashion forward”.

Now it was time for the best part, food sampling…yum, from the Executive Chef Christophe Holmes. We could hardly wait!  We tasted the Roasted sweet potato and Mission fig salad along with the Broccoli macaroni and cheese casserole which were all to die for and had a great twist on southern comfort food. We then met Executive Pastry Chef Charles Barrett who prepared a Creme Brulee station adorned with cranberry and orange rice pudding, peanut butter and jelly truffles, sweet potato maple creme brulee, and mouth-watering key lime cheesecake. I have to say everything was delicious and did anyone say seconds?  Yes, and how about thirds!  Works for me!

Their staff is highly attentive and can accommodate your imagination. Just as we were finishing our pink-tastic tour, in walks Mr. Tony Conway himself looking very dapper. He was so friendly and welcoming. I made sure to get my hugs and sugar.
