Black And Married With Kids Private Screening Of..."Still Standing" - Talking With Tami

Black And Married With Kids Private Screening Of…”Still Standing”

May 4th, 2012

Last night I went to a private screening of an amazing docu film called, Still Standing produced by my fellow blogger buddies Ronnie & Lamar Tyler. The movie stars Kindred The Family Soul and Speech(Arrested Development) Yolanda Thomas & Dr.Sherry L. Blake.I didn’t know what to expect when I sat in my seat with my white cheddar popcorn and drink. Lamar and his lovely wife Ronnie welcomed a theater filled with anxious attendees, did a few giveaways and then the hour long film began. I was moved by so many of the stories and the couples, who poured their hearts out on how they have overcome so much in their marriages. Three of the couples I related to so much! I’m dealing with things in my own marriage and by viewing this fabulous film, it made me think twice about lots of situations and to really work hard at my own relationship. My wedding anniversary is at the end of this month, I REALLY appreciated everything I learned in this documentary. Ronnie & Lamar are friends of mine and you have seen them on my blog before especially are media trips together at the Dreamer’s Academy at Disneyworld.I commend them for putting out a positive image of African Americans and showing the world that yes we too Still Stand! Please visit their website or you can click here to buy the dvd.Great job guys and to all the couples out there staying together! Check out the pics from the screening below with most of the cast. xoxo
