Black Lives Matter

Today is Black Out Tuesday! I am at a loss for words for ALL that is going on. I am deeply saddened by all the things that I am seeing on the news and on my social media. I never post about negative things but ENOUGH is ENOUGH! What really brought tears to my eyes besides watching George Floyd murdered in front of the whole world, was also watching two college students here in Atlanta attacked by the police on Saturday evening. I instantly thought of my kids! That could have easily been my damn kids or any of yours! I have a grandson that I love very much, that could have been him! RIP to George Floyd and all the other African American people that were brutally gunned down just because of the color of their skin. I am so tired of seeing all the hashtags every month or every week and it’s always us. I cry every time I see something because it just makes me think that someone I love could be next!

Do you know how difficult that is to bare every single day of your life? Always worried when your loved ones leave the house? Not only are we going through the worse recession, we have Covid 19 and now all this racial tension on top of everyday struggles. It’s just not fair. I know life is not fair but this has become ridiculous but it’s also been going on for decades and why I ask?

Things need to change, we have to do better than this as a society but people need to also come together and love one another and live in harmony. It’s not hard and people are too stubborn to do the right thing because so many years they have been systemized in doing so much wrong that they don’t even realize what they are doing is not right! Just years of hate, aren’t you tired? I don’t have the answers, don’t know what to do at this point but I really hope you all get out and vote. I’m tired now, but I saw some inspirational art work about Black Lives Matter online and thought to share. I pray for my family, friends, you and this world we live in. Stay safe and God Bless! xoxo
