Tonight was so Pinktastic! I got an invite from a very special lady named, Lauren Thomas of (Be Everywhere) that I had been selected as one of the women in social media to be honored at Spelman College. I was grinning ear to ear when I got the invitation. Well today was the big day that 12 fab chicas got together at the Museum of Fine Art on Spelman’s campus to be recognized. I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know what to say and I know that I can get a bit emotional. All the ladies were of color that blog.
Sometimes when I blog, I think to myself if I am making a difference, If I am impacting someone else’s life, am I funny, am I too hard on others, is anyone reading? I just have a lot of thoughts. Today made me feel special and that I am making a difference and that somebody else cares what I do. I’m just an average girl trying to make it like everyone else.
I met soo many wonderful women in pr/media, blogger communities and more tonight and it felt great to be around so much positivity. The ladies honored tonight were:

After the ceremony, we all mingled, had some yummy cami cupcakes and heavy hor d’oeuvres,wine and listened to great music. I would like to thank everyone who came out and to Lauren,James and Macy’s for the gift card! I would also like to give a shout out to Baker’s for my shoes and Sergio for making my lovely dress! I had a wonderful time and will forever remember this blessed day!
