Fun Day at the State Capital

What a wonderful day I had at the State Capital! I was invited out by Ina who owns The Starfire Group to be one of the lucky 75 women to attend the 2011 Women Entrepreneurs Day in Georgia! I felt very honored to be recognized for my efforts and supporting women in business! I heart women who step out on faith and live out their dreams.

Women entrepreneurs represent one of the greatest opportunities for national and state economic growth. Nationally, 250,000 out of 8 million businesses owned by women generate 1 million or more in annual revenue. Georgia is a top state for women entrepreneurs with more than 30 percent of businesses owned by women.

I attended this amazing event with my friend Tish Deshields that owns Original Bellyworks. We were both delighted and had a lot of fun meeting other women in business. I also saw some ladies that I’ve featured on my site or attended their events. We had breakfast, listened to key speakers, and gathered on the State Capital steps to hear a press conference from Representative Paulette Braddock as she gave a heart felt speech about women in business and her own journey. Then we had lunch and the resolution ceremony. It was so inspiring to see all of the ladies and I want more women to launch! I would like to thank Ina Saulsberry for the personal invite and Felicia Joy and also Chloe from Vitamin C for making my Pinktastic dress for the occasion! Enjoy the pics! xoxo
