‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ Atlanta Premiere

Growing Up Hip Hop Cast with Host Ebony Steele

From my understanding last night here in Atlanta, if you ever thought about being a reality star, was a reality star or you used to be a reality star, they were ALL mixed in at the premiere party of We tv’s new show Growing Up Hip Hop. This particular reality show stars music legends Damon Dash, Rev. Run, Russell Simmons, Master P, El DeBarge and Pepa offsprings who are now of age and trying to make a name for themselves in the industry.

The event was held in Midtown at SCADshow and hosted by radio & tv personality Ebony Steele. I heard it was standing room only! Local celebs also graced the carpet and came out to show love and support. I was not able to make it but do have a few photos from the red carpet arrivals and more inside…

Q&A Session With Ebony Steele

Growing Up Hip Hop follows the next generation of hip hop royalty as they attempt to step outside the shadow of their famous families. Music legends Damon Dash, Rev. Run, Russell Simmons, Master P, El DeBarge and Pepa are always nearby as each up-and-comer tries to build their own life and fortune in careers ranging from music to acting and fashion. At every turn they are challenged with maintaining their own identity while evolving the hip-hop sound and culture they come from.

With their love and work lives intertwined and with their overprotective families always nearby, these friends will each face challenging and sometimes surprising situations as they strive for independent success. The show premieres on WE Tv January 7th at 10pm. xoxo
