Heart of Atlanta, Auburn Avenue

Headed down to Atlanta yesterday afternoon for a restaurant tasting and the event was right off of Auburn Avenue. Since moving here in 2005, I have really been doing a lot of research on this great City of Atlanta and I’m learning so much. Right where I am sitting is a historical church and right down the street was the stepping grounds of so many political activist and men of power, like Martin Luther King, who lived and worked in this very same area!

Atlanta is filled with so much rich history, culture and influential African Americans. I love the diverse culture here and how much the city has grown, even since I transitioned here. It’s always so much to do and things to see, people to meet and not forget eat! I’m so happy since moving here! A few years ago I found out after my grandmother passed, that she too was born here! What a fun fact I learned after reading my grandmother Nellie Arnold’s obituary! For my restaurant tasting, find out what I was wearing and where to find inside!
