I’d done a lot of popcorn films, but the reinvention came when I decided to do more of the character-driven stuff that won’t be seen by as many people. But it makes people start to realize, ‘Wait a second, this guy is that guy.’”
Sidenote: I finally went through my old archives and found the picture I took of Idris in Los Angeles at the NACCP Image Awards after party in 2009. He was very charming and best known at that time for the film with Tyler Perry called, Daddy’s Little Girl. It was so nice of him to stop and pose for my camera. Such a handsome guy but I first met Idris here in Atlanta when I moved here in 2005. He use to be a DJ believe it or not and the girls were going wild for him back then especially with that British accent. I’m a lucky gal to have met him twice ha! xoxo
