In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of reality star Kenya Moore’s latest song Gone with the Wind fabulous! How appropriate for me plus Kenya is from Michigan…ha!

DETAILS ON ACTIVITIES AND PANELS

The Henry Ford Museum(Welcome Dinner)

It began as a simple yet bold idea to document the genius of ordinary people by recognizing and preserving the objects they used in the course of their everyday lives. It grew into the ultimate place to explore what Americans past and present have imagined and invented — a remarkable destination that brings American ideas and innovations to life. The sheer scope and design of Henry Ford Museum is as grand as the vision that inspired it. Itʼs impossible not to feel a sense of awe as your mind adjusts to a different sense of scale — more vast, more expansive and more diverse— by far— than anything you’ll encounter in everyday life. The sweeping, single-floor space with its soaring 40-foot ceilings covers nine acres dedicated to showcasing the finest collection of its kind ever assembled.

Rouge Factory Tour

The factory that Henry Ford built along the Rouge River between 1917 and 1928, the Rouge was an automotive “ore to assembly” complex. Henry Fordʼs idea was to achieve “a continuous, nonstop process from raw material to finished product, with no pause even for warehousing or storage.” The Ford Rouge Factory experience is comprised of a five-part tour which includes a driving tour of historic auto-related landmarks and behind-the-scenes of the Rouge complex; a look at the history of the Rouge through historic video footage; a virtual reality theatre experience; a walking tour of the factoryʼs “living roof”; and a walking tour above the actual final assembly area where Ford F-150s are made.

TechShop Detroit

A welcoming playground for all innovators – from backyard tinkerers to software engineers – that includes tons of resources to bring an idea to life or invent the next big thing in automotive technology. TechShop is a community based workshop and prototyping studio on a mission to democratize access to the tools of innovation. This brand new location is packed with cutting- edge tools and equipment. The computers are loaded with the latest design software featuring the Autodesk Design Suite. Most importantly, TechShop offers space to make, and the support and camaraderie of a community of makers.

Joe Louis Arena

Home of the 11-time Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, Joe Louis Arena proudly stands along the banks of the Detroit River next to the COBO Convention Center, home of NAIAS. The 20,058-seat arena is Detroitʼs largest indoor venue and regularly hosts exciting attractions, including professional sports, college hockey, concerts, ice shows, circuses and much more.
