I’ve been going to this amazing fashion show for years and it’s something to see! Last year at the reception they had a flash mob which was super cool! This year they will also be celebrating their 21st Anniversary, congrats to them! Here is all the info below:

Fashion Cares 2013 will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). Last year’s sold-out event raised $600,000 for the two organizations, and in its history, Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.

This is Britt’s first year to join Fashion Cares as a Co-Chair but he’s not a newcomer to Atlanta’s volunteer scene where for years he has devoted his energy and resources to many good causes, particularly those involving HIV/AIDS, LGBT Equality, children’s and political issues. The retired Executive Director of Alston & Bird, Ken serves on the Board of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and on the Atlanta AIDS Partnership, a collaborative effort between the Community Foundation and the United Way of Greater Atlanta, which is a recipient of funding from Fashion Cares.

Hertz marks her eleventh year as Event Co-Chair of Fashion Cares, adding to an active history of community leadership. She is a past board president of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate, one of the Fashion Cares beneficiaries and is currently serving as a board member of both the local affiliate and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Advocacy Alliance, Komen’s national advocacy organization. Her other volunteer duties include work with the Piedmont Healthcare Board of Directors and the Center for Health and Learning – a Piedmont Healthcare/Mercer University Partnership.

This will be McQuithy’s fourth year as Event Co-Chair of Fashion Cares. He began with Jeffrey Fashion Cares six years ago as a supporting partner. He and members of his team at Vis-a-Vis The Salon have provided complete hair and makeup for the event during this time, as well. He opened Vis-a-Vis The Salon in 2001 in the Buckhead community with a vision of superior customer service. Following the success of the salon, he opened Derma-Luxe Custom Skin Care in 2007, a boutique medical spa. In addition to reflecting the perfect combination of style and charity, his true passion and persistence to help this cause stems from the loss of his mother 13 years ago to breast cancer.

Sams is also Co-Chairing the event for her fourth year. She has been a long time supporter and has co-chaired the Host Committee. Sams is executive vice president and general counsel for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. She has a rich history of community involvement and serves on the boards of trustees of Princeton University and The Westminster Schools and chairs the board of directors of the High Museum of Art. Sams received the Inspiration Award from the Atlanta chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and was named by Business to Business magazine among the most influential business women in Atlanta. The National Law Journal named Sams to be among the 50 most influential women lawyers in America.
