Lots of people were wondering what reality star Lisa Wu has been up to lately since she left the show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I knew that she was working on many projects but now a few of them have come to light! Wu stars in a new film called, Must be the Music written, directed and produced by actor Charles S.Dutton who most of us remember from the hit tv show “Roc”. The movies centers around Dutton’s character, a record mogul that’s pretty shady but respected in the streets. All things turn for the worse when he comes up missing. Lisa Wu was cast by Dutton who also was credited for films such as A Time To Kill, House and more.
The movie was shot at Sigma Sound Studios in Philly last year. Lisa is not a newbie to making films, in 1999 she wrote and directed a movie called, Black Ball. In this thriller, she plays a character by the name of Karen Terrell who’s takes no crap! The star-studded cast includes Tosha Smith, rapper Meek Mills,Trina,Black Thought, actor Cliffton Powell and many more. Click here to read my one on one interview with her for Rolling Out Magazine!Update: Currently Lisa is also in production and shooting a movie called, “The Internships” here in Atlanta starring Owen Wilson,Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell. It’s said to be a comedy.Congrats to my friend, so happy for her! xoxo
