Fashion expert Marlo Hampton introduced the third leg of her multi city fashion seminar The Art of Style to a crowd of eager fans and fashionistas in Houston, Texas on Sunday, August 23rd, hosted by Posh Salon. Guest mixed and mingled, captured selfies with Hampton on the red carpet, and sipped “Marlotini’s” while snacking on #SelfieCookies and lite bites courtesy of North Italia restaurant. Surrounded by mannequins dressed in head to toe in high fashion threads directly from Hampton’s closet, Houston’s Art of Style offered attendees a rare opportunity to gain access to style secrets, usually reserved for celebrities, models and moguls.

The day kicked off when Hampton wowed the crowd making her grand entrance as DJ Charlie Chan played “Diva” paying homage to Houston’s own Beyonce. Wearing a vintage Christian Dior tank, Alice and Olivia multi color skirt, Jimmy Choo heels, a vintage beret pillbox hat and Hermes bracelets, Hampton’s outfit offered attendees a preview of the day’s talking points; mixing high and low items, and using key accessories and a statement piece to create a powerhouse look that complimented her personal style and vibrant mood. “I created The Art of Style for many reasons, most importantly to exemplify how to exude style from the inside out, without necessarily breaking the bank,” says Hampton. I wanted to give my loyal fans a chance to get up close and personal with me, have girl talk, and reveal a few of my highly sought after fashion tips.”

Hampton began the dialogue portion of the seminar by giving the audience an overview of her life story and love affair with fashion. The reality star then shared a little behind the scenes info on her past experiences taping with the cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in seasons four and six and offered insight into her predictions for fan favorites for the upcoming season. Instagram Art Of Style ticket contest winner Lauren Monty modeled the “look for less” downing a complete Forever 21 outfit purchased for only $100. The seminar concluded with an audience Q&A and raffle of a pair of Deepa Gurani earrings and necklace, and a pair of sunglasses courtesy of the Cynthia Bailey Eyewear collection. Complementing the event were swag bags with fashion goodies sponsored in part by Mizani and Hourglass Angel. The Art of Style was introduced in early 2015 in Atlanta and New York City to rave reviews.

On Wednesday, August 27th Hampton is set to release her online shop giving her fans access to her gently used designer goods. The online shop will feature exclusive threads including accessories, shoes, and bags. In the future, on the shop Hampton will curate and sale clothes, accessories and lifestyle items from non-designer brands she loves. Items soon available include a Chanel garment bag, Jimmy Choo heels and Versace shirt and skirt set. Purchases can be made by visiting Hampton’s website, www.marlohampton.com/shop. A portion of the proceeds’ donated to charity and used to support Hamptons Glam It Up! Project and Simply Giving initiative.
