Meet A True ‘Celebrity Hairstylist’ Gail Hudson!

October 31st, 2012

The Wonderful and Talented Gail Hudson!

You want to know about someone in the hair industry that is bad to the bone? Well get to know Gail Hudson, one of the baddest celebrity hairstylist in Atlanta that I never knew about lol. Oh and yes she is “licensed” to do hair in the State of Georgia lol! It all started when I got an email from a friend and publicist Nicole Garner and she asked me would I be interested in working with Gail. I said sure and I had some very important red carpets coming up anyway.

We set up the meeting and I met with Gail yesterday afternoon for a complete makeover. I was not aware that at the makeover session I was going to be given the royal treatment! Most of the times, I review a hairstylist work and blog about it and that’s pretty much it.This experience was something different. Gail was very professional, educated me on her brand, her hair line of products, her expertise in the beauty business and so much more! This lady knows all about healthy hair, latest hair trends & styles, how to maintain and keep your hair thick and the list goes on.

She liked how I kept my hair in good condition but said I needed to get more hair and scalp hot oil treatments because it was a bit dry and I had some breakage plus I’m thinning. She said there is a serum that Aveda sells thats $60 a bottle that I  need to get and add a few drops day and night and I should see results in a few months. So excited about that tip! She gave me a partial weave and braided four tiny braids and added tracks(extensions) to the back of my hair.

As we chatted about the beauty industry she shared with me some of the celebrities she has worked with and what she’s been up to now. She was on tour with singer Mary J Blige as her official hairstylist for years and she currently styles reality star Cynthia Bailey and a few more recognizable women in the entertainment business. In her salon, located in Atlanta, it’s very private and it’s just her and her daughter that occupies the space. Celebrities come thru all the time because of it’s privacy that they love. She’s happy with how Brandy has revamped her image and says she loves her new look now. She sells her own line of shampoo, conditioner, gloss,a teen product line, natural relaxed textured hair extensions and even has her own ceramic silk flat iron! She is really an accomplished hair stylist and I was humbled to sit in her chair and let her work her magic! She starts at about $500 and up but not to fret you guys, her daughter Erica who’s a beast at hairstyling as well(and who singer Ciara frequents) can do your hair too, if Gail is not in your price range.

Look at how she took me to from a complete frump to glam goddess! Not only did she change my hairstyle but she also gave me a complete wardrobe change too(that I blogged about previously). I have a very special announcement to make to my readers too, so check back for the deets You can reach out to Gail via email or visit her site! [email protected] I’m pleased & blessed to announce that she will be my official hairstylist for my many red carpet affairs! Woot! Thanks Gail for my new hairdo and my makeover! xoxo
