Meet Lanie, the newest American Girl Doll

Today hundreds of girls lined up at American Girl at North Point Mall to meet Lanie, American Girl’s 2010 Girl of the Year doll! Lanie is a thoughtful, energetic girl who discovers the wonders of the natural world in her own backyard. Her story is about getting outside and exploring nature-no matter where one lives. We got there early and the line was wrapped around the mall, wow! Lil princesses all over came to see the newest creation from American Girl! My daughter and I was too excited!

According to American Girl; Today the first 100 girls in line will have a chance to win an entire Lanie product collection (valued at nearly $600!) and will receive a Lanie-themed goodie bag. Girls in attendance will also be the first to see the brand new Lanie doll, accessories, and books, and learn about Lanie’s inspiring story as she discovers the world in her own backyard.

As part of the weekend-long Lanie celebration, other festivities include Lanie-themed meals in the Bistro, doll drawings, craft activities, and more!
My daughter and I got to talk to some of the girls in the store and they loved the new doll Lanie! One girly I got to chat with named Molly Quinn has 7 dollies and she came from Alabama. She explained to me that her family stayed at the Marriot hotel because they had a package..You got stay at the hotel for 129.00 and they had an american girl bed in the rooms for you doll,after you checked out, you got to take the bed with you! Wow that was pinktastic!

Another cutie pie name was Brianna, she actually won the Lanie doll, wow she was so lucky! She said they had a drawing and they pulled her name! My daughter and I had a ball mingling with all the ladies, and the store is absolutely fab! Thank you to American Girl for inviting us out and please enjoy all the pics and video below!
