Mississippi Civil Rights Museum Opening & Toyota VIP Reception In Jackson, Mississippi

I was getting a little sad because it was our last day on our Toyota Black History Tour Road Trip. Our last stop was to Jackson, Mississippi where we were to witness the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. It was a frigid day in Jackson but that didn’t stop thousands of people from coming out to see such a memorable occasion. There were lots of civil rights leaders in attendance, motivational speakers, choirs, protestors, music and so much more going on. Inside the museum, were lots of artifacts of what actually happened in Jackson during the civil rights movement, very powerful indeed.

If you are ever in Jackson, make it a place to visit, its very educational. Later on, we had a VIP Toyota Reception with Top Executives from the company and got to mix and mingle with them and introduced ourselves to them individually, it was a great time! We shared our road trip experiences along the way and they seemed very intrigued. I would like to personally thank Toyota for such an amazing experience! I have so much information I learned along the way, that I can now pass down to my children and friends alike! Enjoy your day and check out a few snaps inside….

She gave an amazing testimony on how she was a teen mom and went on to become the Human Resource Manager for Toyota. Love her drive and dedication.
