My Black is Beautiful 2010

Today my friend Lillie Mae and I went back to the My Black is Beautiful tour in Atlanta. It was held at the Cobb Galleria Center and lots of ladies came out to get pampered. It was nice to see a crowd of beautiful women looking fab and smiling. Procter & Gamble puts on this cross country campaign yearly.

So many times black women are portrayed in a bad light in the media. My Black is Beautiful program was created to celebrate African American beauty and to encourage black women and young girls to define and promote their own beauty standard.

They were also taping for Season 3 of My Black is Beautiful and looking for a new face to be a spokesmodel. A lot was going on today and I saw women getting manicures, hairdos, yogo sessions by Andrea, panel discussions, music provided by MC Lyte, facials, massages and more!
