My car died on 85

All heads bowed, all eyes shut! In Jesus name…Amen! Doing shouts in the aisle. My car died yesterday. I had a 1996 Mercedes Benz 280 cl or whatever the hell it was lol. I never pay attention to cars because I just literally get in them and drive lol. I remember when my hubby brought that car home from the auction two years ago and I made an ugly face. I yelled at him for not getting me what I asked for!

I always loved Volkswagens and owned two of them previously, thats what I asked for! Yes the volkswagen beetle bug is my dream car. I’m a pretty simple girl and I think that car fits my personality so well. So when my hubby came home with the Mercedes, I was not a happy camper! So I just drove that car, never named it he or she or gave it a nick name. I was disconnected at the hip lol.

Well yesterday, I was driving on 85 south in Atlanta on my way to an event and I noticed a puff of white smoke behind me. I was in a big poofy dress with crinoline underneath. I was looking like the Belle of the Ball lol. I saw the smoke but didn’t pay it any attention. I kept riding, when I noticed the sensor light popped on. Right afterwards the car started slowing down. I coasted over to the shoulder and my car died on 85.

I have had several problems with that car but what did I expect after 250,000 miles lol. I only paid $2,500 for it lol. It was very clean and my hubby bought it because he knew how to fix on Mercedes. I am very frugal when it comes to cars because I think they are so over rated and they depreciate as soon as you drive off the lot, no thanks! Smh!

So I try if possible, not to have a car note with this very unreliable job market, foreclosures and what not. I rather buy nice shoes and dresses than throw my money out the window with a new car payment. One day, I will be able to roll those new whips again like I did back in the day but for now, I don’t likey or want a  car note. Well rest in peace car, I drove the poot outta you for 2 years! I guess I got my moneys worth lol.

I want to give a special shout out to my guardian angel Annette! This great samaritan pulled over to helped me. She said, “I don’t like to see women stranded on the road, I always stop”. Hubby was at home sleep with cell on vibrate, hot mess! She stayed with me in all my poofiness the whole time, till I finally got hubby on phone! She had a bible in her front seat, and said it was going to be ok while I cried, and it was ok. She said she worked for the Gwinnett Jail and she was a nurse. I never did get her last name. She asked what I did for a living and she was like wow, everything happens for a reason. Yes it does, maybe God wanted me to slow down and take a rest because I have been running around with my head cut off lol. You never just know.

Good Samaritan Ms.Annette

I’m glad I don’t get attached to material things anymore! Enjoy your day everyone..Happy Friday!
