Hello my darlings, I hope you have an amazing weekend and I can not believe it’s Friday already! About a week ago, I received an email asking me if I would like to be interviewed by the most fabulous fashionista I know, Marlo Hampton! You guys know Marlo for her awesome style and her many appearances on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Well, I responded back and ofcourse I said yes!
Marlo has an all-new web series called, Marlo’s Closet on YouTube where she talks all things fashion, girl talk, relationships, she gives style tips and so much more. She ends each show with a toast of champagne and I love it. She films the show inside her AMAZING closet at her beautiful home, that I had the pleasure of seeing a few years back. The closet has grown so much since my last visit and its even more fabulous than the last time lol.
During our taping, we chatted about how I got started in blogging, being professional in the business, what top bloggers make, my most memorable moments and a host of other things. In between takes, me and Marlo played around on set, I styled myself in her massive jewelry collection, took a few selfies and ofcourse I tried to get her to gift me with a Chanel bag or two lol! She wasn’t haven’t it though…ha! I spied a few pieces hanging up in her closet from the Balmain x H&M collection that she said she adored. I went online and couldn’t find anything in my size, smh! I think I counted about 6 pieces she scored. She told me she paid people in a few different cities to stand in line for her that grabbed her a few things from the haute line. I will keep that in mind for the next time.
I also attempted to nab her Balmain jacket in black velvet with the pearls and rhinestones embellishments on it but she was like, “I didn’t get a chance to wear that one yet” damn it! Marlo is a hoot and I have always loved her big personality, style and friendship over the years. Say what you want to say about her but if you truly know Marlo, she is such a doll with a big heart, at least in my eyes. Once the video goes live, I will post, so check back for that but until then, see a few behind-the-scenes photos.
