My review on Sex & The City 2

Everyone was very hyped about the latest flick Sex & the City 2. I saw the movie last wednesday at a private screening. Here in Atlanta, women dressed up in their best outfits and shoes to go see these 4 chicas in their sequel.

Well I must tell you that I was a lil bit disappointed in the movie. If you can, wait till it comes out on dvd or borrow it from a friend. I  must say that the first one was much better.

I don’t know what annoyed me the most, let me see where to start. I hated how they did not have atleast ONE african american in the film, what do they not know any black people? I guess it’s just their little world, but thats not realistic to me.Another thing,Samantha being just over the top with her horniness, argh! Her character bothered me alot in the movie!

The fashions were ok but I have seen the girls dress better at red carpets to promote the movie. For example, when Sarah Jessica Parker did a promo on Regis and Kelly last week. Her Christian Louboutin shoes she wore were fierce! The shoes in the movie were luke warm.

I also was offended about the muslim scenes, where the women disrobed in some random room. I didn’t like that at all,who does that? I didn’t like that they kept making jokes about their middle eastern culture, not cute at all! I also didn’t understand why Charlotte was baking cupcakes in a vintage couture dress with her kids, nobody does that! I know I would never!

I did like the fact that Carrie and Big stayed together. I was a lil worried for a minute when I saw Aidan come back in the picture. There were some funny scenes in the movie though. When Liza Minneli song, “put a ring on it” and also when the ladies got kicked out of the hotel…too funny!

I did love the wedding scene when Miranda was at the table in a gorgeous black studded gown and also it was an extra in a vintage powder blue gown and big hat, that was killer!

Other than that, that movie was ok and I give it a C+. I hope thats the end of this journey with the girls,I’ve grown tired of them now, I’m sexed out. Talk to you later.
