My Style: ‘Go Red’ Dress From Maggy London

go red

I was pleasantly surprised when I got a phone call a few weeks back and it was Saks Fifth Avenue(Atlanta) on the line inviting me out to sit at their table for the Annual Go Red Luncheon! I almost started to cry because I was so honored! Saks is one of my favorite stores and I remember as a young girl being introduced to this luxury department store from my mom, who used to work there. She would always bring home really nice items from there and I would admire them.  My very first Louis Vuitton duffle bag came from Saks. I will never forget that gift from my mom. Anyway, I accepted the invitation and immediately got online to look for the perfect red dress to wear for the occasion. Here in Atlanta, it’s the event to be at and its for such a great cause!

Go Red

So Jon and I shopped for dresses online and he fell in love with this Maggy London Jacquard illusion dress. I loved it too and I knew early on that it would fit like a glove because I have another dress just like this. I ordered it and it arrived a few days ago. I headed down to Jon’s place and he completely transformed me for the event. From head to toe he did my hair, makeup and snatched me in this dress lol! I couldn’t breathe but he told me pain was beauty lol. We headed to the event and it was a packed house with stylish women wearing a sea of red! I can not count on how many times people stopped me and complimented me on this dress. Everyone loved it and guess what guys? Its on sale now!

Sidenote: I am also a “style collective” team member for Maggy London and you will see me wear plenty of other styles and designs from their latest collections, so check back for that. Sometimes you have to see an average person in a look instead of on a model to get a true feeling of what a dress may look like on. With Maggy London, I can wear a size 12 or 14 which fits my body type perfectly without doing any alterations. So thanks again to Maggy London for sending, I LOVE this dress! Which would be great to wear for a luncheon, bridal shower, date night and more. xoxo

The luncheon was really fun, informative and it was my first time attending. Dr. Oz was the keynote speaker and Gospel Artist BeBe Winans performed a very inspirational song. I want to thank Saks Fifth Avenue for the personal invite, it was an amazing experience! To find out more about Go Red Atlanta click here.
