Fall in love with Miss Dior at first sight! The creation of Miss Dior: On February 12th, 1947, excitement filled the air at 30, avenue Montaigne. Christian Dior was about to unveil his first collection and his first fragrance: Miss Dior. Monsieur Dior created it to embody the revolutionary silhouette of his New Look. In 2017, Miss Dior is reinterpreted by Dior Perfumer-Creator, François Demachy. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum evolves, just as the Dior Couture silhouette. “I created Miss Dior’s floral facet, emphasizing the power of its roses in order to make it sensual. A declaration of love to love!” François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator. Provence and the Grasse region of the South of France are intimately linked to the house of Dior’s history. It was at La Colle Noire, Christian Dior’s elegant provençal home, that Monsieur Dior dreamt of growing Dior flowers for Dior fragrances. Today, François Demachy has established exclusive partnerships with producers from the region to harvest the beautiful Grasse rose at the heart of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum: “To put rose in a fragrance is to give it passion, give it fullness, give it richness” François Demachy.
