Yesterday afternoon I made my way to Adrene’s Boutique for a day of fun,shopping,swapping,and a fashion show with Swapnista! I had never heard about this swap party until a friend and fellow blogger, DL was discussing it and invited me out. DL Winfrey owns Pretty Girls Rock Dresses who was also affiliated with the event. Fashion blogger Keren Charles hosted the grand affair!

While at the event, I had a chance to browse all the goodies, take pics,mingle and get ready for the fashion show! Yes,your girl was asked to be one of the fashion bloggers to walk in the “style wars” challenge. In the conversation I had with DL, I was asked to wear something floral. I had no clue it was a full fledge competition with other style bloggers, lawd! So 14 of us fashionistas strutted down the runway wearing trending clothing for Spring 2012. The categories were floral,peplum,tribal prints,neon and color-blocked. Everything had to be something that was out of your closet as well. If I would have known I was competing like that, I would have pulled out all the stops lol! I thought I was just walking in the fashion show,duh lol.

I wore a Nine West floral print dress,vintage black crinoline,vintage gloves and hat, Black & White store necklace & bracelet, paired with Betsey Johnson heels. Later all the bloggers came out one by one and sashayed down the runway. I liked a lot of the looks on the ladies and when it was time for the judges to vote, I placed in the top three!!! We were all trying to win a fabulous “Coveted Clutch” that was custom made by Spoiled Diva with other goodies inside of it. So it was down to blogger FlyWon,ChareeLenee and myself. It was then up to the audience to decide by a round of applause and the ultimate winner went to the color-blocked diva, FlyWon. I thought she deserved to win too. She put that look together for a little bit of nothing too! Great job and I would like to thank Swapnista for inviting me out, it was a fab event!
