My Williams-Sonoma experience

Williams-Sonoma, Mall of Georgia

A few weeks back I was fortunate to take a technique class at Williams-Sonoma:Baking Series: Pies & Tarts. They have classes every Sunday and I was happy to attend.I love the store and all their pretty dishes, cookware and utensils.

Chef Sharon Hamon

The Chef name was Sharon Haman and she was soo kewl! She was also funny and when she had mishaps she just laughed.

Chef Sharon made a Flaky Pie Pastry first that looked sooo good. She said to make sure that all the ingredients and utensils are cold as possible. Make sure your hands arent too warm too.

Sharon also made Deep Dish Pie crust for a quiche Lorraine, Lemon Curd Tart and my favorite, a Cookie Crumb Crust for a Chocolate Pudding Pie! There are 4 different types of crust which are:

  • Sweet Pie Crust
  • Flaky Pie Crust
  • Short Bread Crust
  • Cookie Crumb Crust

Lemon Curd Tart

Quiche Lorraine

Chocolate Pudding Pie

I was in heaven and tried each and every one of them lol. What diet lol. I learned some great techniques in preparing pie crust and I will be using them to make my own creations. I love to bake and have been slacking lately.

Hate the lipgloss choice, epic fail argh! lol
