Onward To Selma, Alabama…Toyota Black History Road Trip

As we continued our drive from Montgomery, Alabama we made it a few hours later to Selma, Alabama….you know that famous town that held so many civil rights marches? Yes that place! We had an opportunity to visit the National Voting Rights Museum where we saw plenty of memorabilia honoring the attainment of Voting Rights. They had exhibits that depicted the voting rights struggle in American from “Bloody Sunday”, the Selma to Montgomery March and the Civil Rights Movement, it was something to see and I am FOREVER grateful for my forefathers! Check out more pictures inside…

So many disturbing images, I am so thankful for all they did!

The museum tour was very touching indeed!

This jail cell which was meant to hold about 4 to 5 people would sometimes have up to 20 people inside, young and old! Parents would sign their children out of school to go march and knew that they would be arrested. They would be held in this one jail cell too!

Our tour guide was presented with a check from Precise Communications on behalf of Toyota to support the efforts of the museum.

The infamous Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama no words! I drove over this bridge! So many people fought for their voting rights here, marched here, got beat up here and water hosed here! I PRAY…..
