I received a very weird inbox last night from a celebrity who follows me and I won’t name anyone but you can figure it out for yourself. I was a bit irritated because I didn’t understand the reasoning for the note where this particular person thought it was needed to let me know that she was “disappointed” in me writing a blog post about her that she felt was “negative”. Let’s all be clear hear! I am a damn blogger!
For seven years I have ran this blog, worked red carpets and reported the news, I am not doing anything differently than anybody else. NO I do not have a gossip blog but occasionally I do give my readers the TWT TEA! I have been doing it for years and nothing has changed. I have seen Wendy Williams, radio personalities, entertainment reporters and even Joan Rivers go completely in on celebrities and report the news on them. What do that particular celebrity do? They go right back on ALL those media platforms, laugh it off or clear up rumors. Thats what most of them do. Plus who in their right mind is going to turn down any free publicity right?
But OH NO! When I write a blog post on the same scoop I’ve heard all hell breaks loose! Why is that I wonder? Is it because I am a female blogger? Or is it because they think we are friends and feel comfortable enough to contact me? Do you contact Media TakeOut or Perez Hilton, Sandra Rose? I’m not sure but to be honest I can count on one hand how many true friends I do have in the entertainment world. All of the celebrities I know are aware that I work in “media” and that I’m a “blogger” first! So why the inbox from this disgruntle person? I have no clue but what I write on my blog are TRUE stories/tales from VERY reliable sources and I have NO reason to lie on any of them! Another thing, when I do put up TWT TEA posts, it’s still very lighthearted and in fun and doesn’t cause them any harm or malice.
A friend in the blogging world once told me that I should refrain from being friends with celebrities because then they think if they do become cool with me, then I won’t write bad things about them. I’ve told all my friends that are celebrities that it’s just business and you are a public figure. I have soo many stories that I could have written on folks that I didn’t even bother to write about because it was so bad! I do have a heart, not like some other people I know that don’t care two pennies about you! A lot of these celebrities should be thanking me ha! Also, do know that all stories about you will not be a bed of roses and lollipops all the damn time. At the end of the day, I’m just reporting what was told to me or that I seen with my very own eyes. As a blogger it is my job to report the news and just sometimes guys it ain’t gone be pretty! You will have to get over it and understand!
So if you celebrities out there are reading this, please know that its never personal it’s just pure business. You shouldn’t be worried about me and my lil blog anyway when National Enquirer and other huge media sources are your true enemies! Words to the wise…next time before you come for me, remember how YOU treated other people, who you fired or talked to badly. Those same people are the ones leaking stories to us bloggers and tabloids! Till next time! xoxo
