Pinky Review: Date Night At 'Medici' - Talking With Tami

Pinky Review: Date Night At ‘Medici’

November 26th, 2012

Before my husband left to head back to work up North, I surprised him with a romantic dinner at Medici inside of the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel on Friday night. My husband was very surprised when I told him we were going to dinner because he thought he was going to get one last night being a couch potato watching car shows all evening, ha he was wrong!

Italian Chop Salad

Jumbo Lump Crab Cake

When we arrived at the hotel, I loved the newly renovated space and the decor inside. The restaurant was cozy and cute and we were seated quickly. I asked our fabulous waitress what was the most popular items on the menu and she stated that all of the items were good but pointed out these:

Jumbo Lump Crab Cake($14)

Italian Chop Salad($14)

Rigatoni with Sausage($18)

Veal Meziluna($23)

Grilled Salmon($23)

Grilled Salmon

Lobster and Shrimp Tortelloni

The hubby and I shared the Italian Chop Salad(delicious, omg!) and the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake(to die for). For entrees we ordered Grilled Salmon & Lobster and Shrimp Tortelloni. Both meals came with sides and the proportions were great. EVERYTHING we ordered was scrumptious! We don’t drink but they have a variety of wines and other cocktails available from the full service bar adjacent to the dining area. To satisfy our sweet tooth, they brought out a dessert tray full of yumminess! We ordered a piece of cake to split because we were stuffed to the max! We loved the atmosphere and may we even suggest this place for a great date night, or girls night out! Thanks to The Renaissance Hotel for allowing us to try this amazing restaurant and if you plan to visit or live here in Atlanta, check it out sometime! xoxo
