Pinky Review: Pixi PixiGlow Limited-Edition Collection - Talking With Tami

Pinky Review: Pixi PixiGlow Limited-Edition Collection

March 13th, 2012
Last week Target sent me over their latest PixiGlow collection. I was excited because it was the limited-edition collection inspired by Tinker Bell,a Disney character. I was headed to Disneyworld, so it was the perfect makeup to take along with me on my trip.
The collection included:
  • Catching Shadows Crayon ($18.00)
  • Fairy Dust ($14.00)
  • Fairy Face Palette ($34.00)
  • Magic Tink Tint ($16.00)
  • Straight On ‘til Morning Liner ($15.00)
  • Pirouette Pink Nail Colour ($8.00)
I loved the packaging a lot,so whimsy and dainty. The pigments of the eyeshadows are very light in color and were very sheer on my skin tone. I used an eyeshadow base first on my eyelids but it was still very hard to see the colors on me. The lipsticks and glosses were very nice but again very sheer on my skin tone. I did fall in LOVE with the Magic Tink Tint lip balm! It glided on very smooth and kept my lips very moisturized. The Pirouette pink nail polish was my favorite as well! I got a pedicure and took this polish with me. The manicurist wanted to buy it from me because she said she never seen that shade of pink before. I was NOT budging with my pink polish,no mam lol.
I think these colors would be great for tweens like my daughter. The colors would be great on her because she is a tad bit lighter than I, so the pigments would show up better on her complexion. She even nabbed a few of the items for her makeup bag lol. She hardly wears makeup but she does like glosses. All in all, the collection is really nice and if you are a fan of Tinkerbell, than this would be a great collection to have! I would like to thank Target for sending the samples over to me! My mirrored tray was provided by Parker Kennedy Living .xoxo
