Pinky Review: Zootopia

zootopia

On Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of going out to see the new animated movie, Zootopia. When I was asked to see this movie, at first I was a lil apprehensive because as we all know, I don’t have small kids. I begged my teens to go out and see it with me but they were not interested. I do have a few friends and readers though that have small kids that were delighted to check out this movie with me lol. We all met up at the AMC Prime Dolby theater at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Ga it was so much fun. I had never been to this particular cinema but it was pretty cool I must say!

Once everyone got situated and got their snacks, we went inside to be seated. The theater was pretty cool and the surround sound was pretty amazing. The recliner chairs were extremely comfy too. I will be back.

From watching the trailer of Zootopia I kinda knew it was about a bunny who was a rookie cop trying to solve a case and it was her first big assignment. She was really trying to impress her boss at the police precinct. That was pretty much the logistics of it but it was so much more I found out later. The movie dealt with what is going on in our world today and I was pretty blown away with how Disney put the storyline together. It dealt with racial profiling, women’s rights, friendship, stereotypes, police and so much more.

All told through a movie kindly for the young and old to see and try to understand. I wanted to stand up and clap but that would have been kinda weird but I cheered along in my brain on certain scenes that were pretty intense. It did ofcourse have a lot of funny scenes, great messages and it really was a great story about race and how although we are different in many ways, we STILL can all work together for the greater good! I do recommend you to take your family of all ages to see this movie. It was well written, had a great message, the jokes were funny and you will fall in love with the main two characters Judy & Nick. I give it an A-.

ZOOTOPIA

Judy Hopps, the rookie cop who’s also an over achiever, I really liked her character and she reminded me of me when I was young. I just wanted to make my family proud.

ZOOTOPIA

Judy and Nick Wilde they had a rocky relationship in the beginning but it grew into something special.

Flash, the fastest sloth at the DMV, this was my favorite scene! So funny LOL!
