Posing Tips For Bikini Season

I get a lot of questions on how I loss weight to how I was able to keep my body in tact after all these years. It’s been a long road you guys. People also swear I’ve had some type of plastic surgery lol. I really don’t have to explain but to tell the truth, I have NEVER had any type of body work done lol. First of all, who has the time for that with my busy schedule to sit still that long for recovery lol. I’m extremely scared of plastic surgery and it would be my luck that something would go wrong. If that’s what you like to do, go right ahead but it’s just not for me. I guess its my genetics and my diet that keeps me looking youthful and getting a lot of sleep and not stressing too much.

I was a cheerleader and aerobics instructor for quite some time and loved working out when I was younger. But if you remember, I did gain weight once I moved here to Atlanta but after going through a divorce a few years ago, I was severly depressed and loss weight after that. So yeah, losing 65lbs with no gym is hard to believe for some people but that is EXACTLY what happened. Well, today I wanted to share with you a few tricks that I use in order to get cute bikini shots when you’re at the pool or beach. Check out my posing tips inside…

I’ve modeled for years and we girls always shared posing tips with each other, or I quickly learned from watching other people. Its really fun and not hard to do at all, so here are a few tips to get that perfect bikini shot.

  • Try sitting on the edge of the pool, table or chair and suck in. It flattens your tummy area. I’m not saying that it will disappear all together but it will smooth that area out somewhat. I have a pooch as well but I hide it well depending on the angle of the camera etc. It helps if you have a good photographer too that knows your angles.
  • To give an illusion of a nice backside, try arching your back, suck in and sticking your butt out. My butt almost disappeared when I loss weight, so this trick really works.
  • Finding the right bikini for your body type is the key! I look better in string bikinis no clue why but the way I’m shaped, those suits look better on me. These type of suits are adjustable and I can tighten and loosen the strings where needed. You have to try and try again to find the right swimsuit for your shape, that will also make your pictures pop!
