Red Carpet Pics: 27th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration

Last night, eight remarkable women were honored at the 27th annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration for the creative and cultural contributions they have made to the worlds of music, film, television, and beyond. Gal Gadot, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Moreno and Halle Berry were feted by the world’s largest fashion magazine brand, in partnership with Ralph Lauren and Lexus, at the event. Out of an abundance of caution, honorees Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Lauren Ridloff cancelled their in-person appearances due to a potential COVID exposure.

ELLE Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia shared the reason for the quartet’s absence in her opening remarks. “Welcome to the 27th annual Women In Hollywood,” she started. “I am so deeply grateful to be with you tonight in person…However, the reality of the world we are now living in requires new rules. As you may have heard, the cast of Eternals, who we are honoring here tonight, was just exposed [to COVID], and to keep everyone safe those superheroes are now in super-isolation. Sorry, but that is the new reality.”

Eva Longoria hosted the celebration, which took place at the at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Patty Jenkins, Debbie Allen, Kerry Washington, Lena Waithe, Jon M. Chu, Demi Moore, and Nyle DiMarco presented to Gadot, Hudson, Moreno, Berry, Chan, Jolie, and Ridloff, respectively.

ELLE Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia, in partnership with Ralph Lauren and Lexus, and supporting sponsor Laurent-Perrier, brought together honorees, presenters, artists and Hollywood legends for this year’s dinner and awards celebration. Laurent-Perrier provided champagne to toast the honorees, who were also gifted with a bespoke magnum of the House’s Cuvée Rosé hand-painted by renowned mixed-media artist Ashley Longshore, and Lexus provided transportation for VIP guests. Throughout the evening, Lexus had a large-scale screen debuting clips from Another Day, a short film by Taiwanese American director and writer, Tiffany Frances. Tiffany was sourced through a directorial competition and was selected by a panel of judges comprised of ELLE editors, award-winning filmmakers, and Lexus executives. The video will also live on ELLE.com and on ELLE’s YouTube channel.
