My Style: Trumpet Awards Red Carpet Look

My Style

Although I only stayed at the Trumpet Awards red carpet event for a short stint(because it was freezing outdoors) I still wanted to share with you guys what I wore for the affair.

Side note: My patience level is getting shorter and shorter. I need to call my mom and ask her more information about this new attitude I have! I don’t know if I am pre-menopausal or what but things agitate me really quickly now lol. I just do not have time for the foolery and will bounce in two seconds flat if there is anything I don’t care to be around. Check out what I wore to the Trumpet Awards with the help of Jon my stylist inside…

My Style

For the red carpet, Jon put me in a cute royal blue fishtail cocktail dress from a boutique in New Orleans. I never took the cape off, so I forgot to take some pictures prior in just the dress, sorry about that. It was very simple and plain that’s why I didnt bother lol. The cape is old from my closet and if you are an avid reader, you know that I wore this last year during NYFW with a red Sergio Hudson pencil skirt. I pulled the cape out, the blue dress, added black leather gloves, stockings, heels and an embellished clutch purse and I was ready to go! Jon also did my face with a smokey eye, nude lip and snatched ponytail. I loved the complete look!

I can totally relate that as I mature, it really gets under my skin when I tell someone no and then they ask me “are you sure?” That’s when my Nene Leakes come out ” I SAID WHAT I SAID !!!!”
