The Making Of An Award-Winning Gown By House Of Chapple

So I put in a call to Fashion Designer Reco Chapple to ask him if he had any gowns that I could wear for an upcoming red carpet event. He responded to me that everyone was going to that affair and he didn’t have much in stock or dresses were sold out. I was not finding anything I really liked online or in the stores, so I was sitting at home thinking what am I going to do? I have plenty of cocktail dresses but I was nominated for an award and it was a black tie event, I wanted to dress up a bit more. I was scrambling trying to put a look together but it was not working out…yikes!

Then Lord and Behold, Reco called me back and said some of his clients had canceled fittings etc and that he had time to make me a custom look. This was a few days ago and I screamed with excitement! Yesterday afternoon, I headed down for my final fitting and this is what he came up with! I’m one of those people that let creative minds do their thing. I don’t nag Reco or call him a million times asking him a bunch of questions, I let him do his thing. He knows my body measurements and what looks best on me. I trust him and his work. I only ask what color it is, so I know how to wear my makeup and what accessories to buy. When I arrived to his warehouse, I was so excited and loved the dress so much. I was a bit nervous about the train though because I knew that people would probably step on it, or I would trip over it but it worked out just fine. Later on at the Sheen Magazine Legendary Weekend affair, there were lots of ladies in attendance with gowns and trains lol.

I would have NEVER asked Reco to make me a dress in apricot but I thought this shade looked amazing on my skin tone I must say! Ofcourse it fit my physique perfectly and I felt like a princess! I added sparkly jewels and a rhinestoned clutch and I was headed to the red carpet! Reco stated that a custom gown like this would cost roughly around $260(and up), which is a steal. He recently made Claudia Jordan a similar gown in purple. Everyone loved the color on me and said I really looked pretty and I want to thank Reco for taking the time to make me this beauty, I will cherish her forever. Oh by the way, I find this gown extremely LUCKY now because I actually won the award! YAY!!! Till next time! xoxo
