I am so glad that some celebrities have a sense of humor and understand that as journalist we have to report the good and bad sometimes but that it’s never personal. I went to an event the other day and the first person I spotted at the ladies brunch was Actress/Director/Beauty Queen Kenya Moore. She wasn’t hard to spot because she was the only one wearing a white dress and plus I know that smile anywhere.
She gave me a happy look and I took that as to say,it was ok to come chat with her. I had previously posted about her tiff at The Bailey Agency with an assistant(click here). She laughed and said, “girl I really don’t have a comment but “let the haters hate”. I’ve been knowing Kenya for about 6 years now and like I said previously, she has always been a sweetie pie. She said, “yes, I know how media works and how they can twist things around sometimes. I told her, “hey I just reported what was presented to me”(I also did some fact checking before I wrote my post).I then turned the conversation over to how she landed here in Atlanta. She said she just moved here but has always had family ties. Did you guys know her mom has been living here for years and owns a restaurant in The Underground called, Georgia Peach? It’s a soul food restaurant and I’m going to try it. She told me to just let her know when I want to stop by. She has lots of family here, so it wasn’t hard for her to make the transition. Kenya plans on having a “Welcome To Atlanta” party and assured me she would invite me out.
I applaud Kenya for being mature enough to understand how the entertainment business works. More celebrities(I can name a few)needs to take note from Ms.Kenya, she’s a class act! Anyway, It was nice to clear the air with her. She is still as beautiful as ever! Till next time! xoxo

Glad she understood that you were only doing your job and that it was nothing personal. I’ve always heard she’s a very sweet person. Now that she’s in Atlanta, I wonder if she’d consider joining the cast of Single Ladies or even The Game since there are openings?
I can’t say I blame her. She has to be doing something right if they’re hating. If she wasn’t doing anything then there would be nothing for them to talk about. I love Kenya Moore and people need to realize that celebrities are HUMAN and that they’re human first before celebrity…
gorgeous ladies!
That is so cool to know that she was gracious at the event even despite knowing that you had to do your job as a journalist and cover that story! It shows that she is a genuinely sweet person!
P.S. LOving your necklace!!
