Mattel has joined forces with Nicki Minaj to create a one of a kind Barbie. When I saw this on my girl Style Me Prissy site, I almost passed out!
The doll will feature bubble gum pink hair, matching boots, sparkly Barbie necklace and a poofy white dress to be auctioned at the The Charity Buzz.
“Barbie is obviously a pop culture icon. She’s been in the spotlight for over 50 years, and strikes that chord with girls of all ages in terms of being representative of the times,” said Barbie spokeswoman Stefani Yocky.
“And Nicki is a big part of pop culture and also huge within the fashion industry, as well as a big Barbie fan … It’s really exciting for us that she’s been so generous to allow us to create this one-of-a-kind doll to support such an important cause,” continued Yocky.
The Charity Buzz auction proceeds will benefit the Project Angel Food organization which provides food for men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. The Charity Buzz auction kicks off Dec. 19 and the starting bid for the Nicki Minaj Barbie $1,000. This is so fun, so girly, for a great cause!
