Top Reasons Why Cox Conserves Cares About Our Environment!

April 16th, 2012

Last week was a great learning experience for me. I got a chance to visit Cox Enterprises for an afternoon of information over a great lunch. I know Cox for their cable but they do so much more! There was also other fellow bloggers in the mix, where we all were eager to hear ways in which Cox Conserves is trying to make our environment a better place to live. At the event we learned many ways on how to conserve energy, ways in which Cox has done so and more. After the presentation we went around the room and everyone spoke on ways they conserve energy. I always yell at my kids to turn the water off while brushing their teeth or doing the dishes. I un-plug things from the wall and more. You guys may not know this but my electric bill is always under $90 a month. My friends always try to figure out how being that I have kids but I tell them I trained them to turn lights out and more. I wash only once a week and I try to hand wash my dishes when I can. It’s just little ways like this that we can make our world a better environment to live in. Every little bit helps.

Here are my top reasons why Cox Conserves cares about our environment!

In the late 70′s Cox Conserves started recycling newsprint

They use alternative energy

They have an Eco-friendly fleet of trucks

Saves over 17 k tons of carbon thru alternative energy

In some of Cox buildings around the United States, they have solar panels in their parking lots

They use recyclable materials in their cafeterias

They offer shuttles to and from martas

They have a huge water conservation building, the size of an olympic swimming pool

I learned a lot about the company and ways in which we all can do our part. After the event we all were gifted with re-usable tote bags filled with goodies. We also got to take home a watering pot, flowers and seeds, so pretty! I would like to thank Be Everywhere for inviting me out and to Cox Enterprises! For more info please visit the site!
