You ever wanted to meet your favorite actors from Hollywood, but then when you finally see them, you were left thinking, “hmm they are shorter than they appear on screen or in pictures”. Thats what I was thinking when I was out in Beverly Hills a few days ago!
TWT TEA: Last night I was watching the Oscars red carpet arrivals on E! and I started to think about when I met Kerry Washington and Lupita Nyong’o at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon last week. They looked stunning in their gowns at the Oscars and when I looked closely at the images, they appear so tall! You guys I was standing next to both ladies taking pictures with them just a few days ago and they are some shorties! Pint-sized princess Lupita stands about 5’3″ if that and she is about 95-100 pounds, wet! She looks amazing in any outfits they put her in because she is extremely tiny but in pictures she appears to be really tall and she is not! I’m 5’5″ and I’m not that tall either but I was towering over her at the Essence luncheon and she had on heels. It’s such an illusion. Same with Kerry Washington. She is short too and in this picture you can’t really tell but she is petite in stature. This picture of us is shot at an angle with me trying to do a selfie but look at how she looks on the carpet. She looks really tall. I just wanted you to know that when you spot your favorite celebrity out somewhere don’t be too disappointed to learn that they are not what you had imagined them to be! LOL!
