I am sad to report this morning that reality star Porsha D. Williams (who was one of my fav fashionistas on The Real Housewives of Atlanta) has had her peach snatched! Say it ain’t so! Back on April 24th 2014, I reported to you guys that her and Cynthia Bailey jobs on the show were in jeopardy and it was rumored around here in these streets of Atlanta that they were both being fired from the show! Welp, Porsha just confirmed those pesky rumors today!
TWT TEA: If you go to Porsha’s twitter and instagram she does confirm that she will no longer be holding a peach saying…”no more peach for me, but I still love checking in with my girls”. Shortly afterwards NeNe Leakes chimed in and tweeted back to her,”U may not have a peach but u still sweet. I work wit a sour patch”. I can’t believe that Porsha has been booted from the show and I’m sure reality diva Kenya Moore is somewhere twirling her a** off right about now lol. Porsha has been doing a lot of tv appearances and radio hosting plus she is still on Dish Nation, so she will be just fine. As beautiful as she is, I’m sure blessings will follow her!
Now I have to worry if Cynthia Bailey job is on the line too? We see that Bravo has added in actress Demetria McKinney and also Claudia Jordan who both have contracts, so time will tell! Out with the old, in with the new huh? They have also been around town filming for the new season. I’m sure that Porsha will have a few cameo appearances before her official exit, Chile my nerves bad now. Till next time! xoxo
Bonus: Season 7 trailer is out now and its looking pretty steamy! Pheadra and Apollo are fighting like cats n dogs before he headed to jail, Kenya is trying to take newcomer Demetria McKinney’s boyfriend Roger Bobb from her, NeNe Leakes is not feeling Claudia Jordan, Cynthia has burned her friend contract with NeNe and Kandi is still having issues with Mama Joyce and her mother in law! Whew! The new season starts Nov 9th at 8pm on Bravo!
Updated: Porsha put out a statement saying that she was blindsided when she found out the news that she was demoted to just an “acquaintance” on the show and will just make cameo appearances. So although she won’t be an official “Atlanta Housewife”, she will be a sidekick now but to who? Chile!
Here is her statement!
“This is not an easy time for me right now, but I want let everyone to know that I loved being a ‘Housewife’ on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I am thankful for Bravo for the opportunity but it’s not goodbye, you will see me on the show throughout the season sharing and bonding with the other women and I promise to stay connected with my fans as I start an exciting new time in my life.
After a long season of filming, and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ‘Housewife Status,’ but would remain on the show in a ‘Friend’ capacity.
Unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else, would not be genuine nor honest. This moment is bittersweet, but God has been so amazing to me, and I think this is a perfect time for me to spread my wings, and finally focus on all of my upcoming projects.
In addition to having my recurring role on RHOA, I will be able to focus my attention on my career as an Entertainment Correspondent on DISH NATION on the Fox Network, recording my album, building my businesses, and taking baby steps towards nurturing my relationship with my new love!!!
This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I will be giving my fans & supporters another chance to watch my growth as I take on the world in my own special way very soon!! I am so Thankful for all that #TEAMPORSHA does to keep me INSPIRED every day! Stay Tuned…
