Uncle Jack’s Meat House In Duluth, Ga

Last Friday I had the pleasure of dining out at a hidden gem located in Duluth, Ga called, Uncle Jack’s Meat House. Ever heard of it? Me either and I am always in this area and had no clue that it even existed lol. I later learned its owned by restauranteur Wiliam Degel, that you guys may remember from Food Network! My daughter’s salon is located one block from this restaurant and I still didn’t know, that’s pretty scary being that I am such a foodie lol. I love finding new places and sharing them with my followers and this is one place you truly have to visit if you live in the area or plan on traveling to Atlanta.

My girlfriend Jen and I met up at at Uncle Jack’s Meat House and once we entered, we knew we were going to have a great time! We were greeted and quickly seated. The decor is pretty standard, extremely clean and was filled with smiling faces. I loved the vibes and the staff was very friendly. We met the manager and was introduced to our waiter who took great care of us. After looking over the menu, we decided on our entrees but boy did they fill us up with all sorts of appetizers and so much more! EVERYTHING we tried was delicious and I even tried octopus for the very first time!

Later, Executive Chef Mitch came out and introduced himself and went over lots of things on the menu. He said that the restaurant has been open for little over a year and they had different items on the menu but took a few things off that didn’t work. He told me some of his favorites on the menu and recommended some things for us to try. Jen and I trusted his choices and boy was he right lol. This restaurant would be a great place for a date night, or run in for lunch, its a very relaxed atmosphere, diverse and you felt comfortable. They have a patio area with a fire pit that adds a lot of ambiance. Candles are lit throughout the restaurant and they have a full size bar.

When our food came out, it’s served pretty much family style. You share sides and food was seen passed around at all the tables, I loved seeing that and it creates great conversation. The proportions are HUGE and you will take a doggy bag home for sure! We came hungry and still was stuffed by the third course! I sampled lots of the sides, appetizers and they were all yummy. It’s a southern style comfort food kinda place with things like greens, mac and cheese and ofcourse meat, just with a spin on it but good and hearty. The presentation of each dish is pretty spectacular and definitely very “instagrammable”. Is that a word? Well I made it up if it’s not lol. Check out below all that we had and PLEASE stop in and tell em I sent yah! You will need to call an uber afterwards, you will have “food coma”. xoxo
