I’m still remaining tight-lipped with my real opinion on the recent nuptials of Yandy Smith and her husband Mendeecees Harris big wedding day. The love birds married at Weylin B. Seymour’s venue in Brooklyn, NY. It was televised live on Vh1 yesterday evening and filled with ALL the has-been reality stars, instagram boutique owners, dropped and wannabe rap artists, retired and upcoming thots, instagram models/stars, Love & Hip Hop NY cast members past/present plus ALL of Brooklyn, NY was in attendance lol.. But their real family and true friends weren’t even present. Who does that? I smell Mona Scott-Young behind all the foolery and she must have casted EVERYBODY at the wedding that she has ever worked with since starting Violator Management way back when. You know Yandy use to work for her and she is also an Executive Producer on the show. I guess she is forever loyal to Mona, cute. That explains why we didn’t see Mendeecees’ mom that much on the show because Yandy and her do not get along and who knew about that “break baby”…lawd! By Mona footing the bill for this televised wedding, I’m sure she had full control of the situation, in my opinion. If you’re really wondering who attended, just think of EVERY ratchet/popular reality star that’s been on air for the last few years lol.
I’m still scratching my head and wondering if Yandy even had enough “star power” to pull off a two-hour wedding special and from lurking online this morning and reading some of the comments on gossip blogs, didn’t that many people actually tune in but decided to still throw shade anyway on Instagram, Facebook about it saying, it was all sponsored and fake looking. Don’t get me wrong, Yandy made for a beautiful bride and ALL those kids they have are adorable as ever but it just didn’t feel authentic to me. I only watched about 30 minutes of it and fell asleep but the Vh1 production crew and cameramen were awful, the show was all over the place with too many hosts, it was hard to stay focused. I hate to say it but the next time Vh1 produces a wedding special, they need to watch how Bravo does it and hire Todd Tucker and his tv crew, just saying! Anyway, I have the deets on what she wore on her special day and more pics inside. I had the pleasure of meeting Yandy a few years ago in Los Angeles and she is very pretty in person and very sweet, I really like her.
Sidenote: Those custom bridesmaid dresses and some of the guests attire were a bit much for a wedding but who am I…but why were they trying to upstage the bride? Sigh!
For Yandy’s big day she wore two Prina Tornai gowns, very pretty, definitely my style!
If you remember a few years ago, NeNe Leakes wore the same wedding gown designer
