Sharon Stone opened up about the wild world of online dating, revealing how she once got catfished by a man whose profile photos looked nothing like him in real life. During her appearance, she joked about how dating has completely changed from the days of phone calls and planned dates, admitting she’s “really smart about some things” but not so savvy when it comes to dating apps. Stone recalled showing up excited for a lunch date, only to discover the man at the bar looked entirely different from his photos. When he blamed a “car accident” for the drastic change, she quickly replied, “I don’t date liars,” before walking out.
She also reflected on appearing on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s podcast, sharing a memorable story about attending the Obama inauguration and spending time with Stevie Wonder. Stone said Stevie once told her she was beautiful, explaining that beauty isn’t just physical it’s in the way a person moves, speaks, and carries themselves. She added that “beauty is an attitude,” echoing a story about Marilyn Monroe being able to transform a room simply through confidence and presence.
The Oscar-nominated actress also discussed joining season three of Euphoria, praising creator Sam Levinson and the show’s talented young cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer. Stone said the set was incredibly professional and welcoming, calling it the kind of environment where she felt comfortable bringing her children to visit.
She also shared an early-career story from her modeling days in New York, when she auditioned to replace Laura on General Hospital during the height of the legendary Luke and Laura era. After her audition, a casting director bluntly told her, “You have no mystery.” Stone recalled being crushed until her roommate reassured her with the unforgettable line: “Baby, you’re Technicolor in a black-and-white world.”
