I truly felt like royalty today a real-life princess wrapped in lace and love. I received the sweetest PR surprise from one of my favorite affordable brands, Shein, and my heart could hardly contain the excitement. With my wedding day fast approaching, the timing couldn’t have been more magical. Shein has supported me and my daughter Tyra for years, so it meant the world that they heard about my upcoming nuptials and decided to send over a few wedding gowns for me to try.
As a bride-to-be who proudly embraces being frugal, I’m always looking for beautiful ways to save. In this economy, every thoughtful choice counts, and when I discover dreamy bridal finds at a great price, I can’t help but share the magic. Believe it or not, some people don’t even realize that Shein carries wedding apparel! I actually discovered this growing trend on TikTok, where influencers are doing stunning bridal hauls trying on gowns, giving close-up views, and sharing their honest, unfiltered thoughts.
So there I was, twirling in not one but two lovely gowns, soaking in the fantasy of it all. And of course, I had to give you my genuine, romantic take on each one because every bride deserves to feel beautiful without breaking the bank.
You all know my heart belongs to romance to dreamy fairytales, whimsical moments, and anything that makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a storybook. And this gown? Oh my word. It completely stole my heart.
The Fairy-Tale Spaghetti Strap Corset Tulle Ball Gown Wedding Dress was everything I didn’t know I needed. The delicate straps, the sculpted corset bodice, the layers of airy tulle it all came together in the most magical way. The moment I put it on, I felt like a real-life Princess Tiana twirling in her own enchanted ballroom. It had that soft, regal energy that makes you stand a little taller and smile a little brighter.
This one was beautifully true to size and fit me like a dream. The only alteration I would have needed was a slight hemming, as it was quite long on my frame but nothing a little tailoring couldn’t perfect.
The fabric felt incredibly luxe and well-made, and I absolutely adored the structure and silhouette of the corset it cinched in all the right places and gave the gown such a romantic, sculpted finish.
The back featured a delicate lace-up design, tied together with the prettiest satin ribbon such a soft, romantic touch that added extra charm and detail to the gown.
This one was easily my absolute favorite. Elegant yet comfortable, dramatic yet sweet it captured that princess essence so beautifully. I love it so much that I’m actually considering having it tailored into a shorter version to wear to my bridal shower. Can you imagine? A flirty, fairy-tale-inspired moment before the big day.

The second gown I slipped into felt like stepping into a bridal daydream. It was the Elegant A-Line Floor-Length Bridal Gown in ivory a strapless sweetheart design with a flowing sweep train and a daring thigh-high slit that promised just the right touch of movement and allure. The silhouette was beautifully flattering, gently cinching at the waist before cascading into a graceful A-line skirt that felt timeless and effortlessly romantic.
There’s something undeniably classic about this dress it captures that soft, sophisticated bridal vision so many of us imagine. I truly liked this gown; it has a refined elegance that, when styled thoughtfully, could be absolutely stunning walking down the aisle.
The back was adorned with elegant satin buttons cascading down for that timeless bridal detail, while a hidden zipper ensured a seamless and secure closure beauty and practicality wrapped into one graceful design.
That said, I would definitely recommend sizing down. I typically wear a size large on Shein, but this one ran quite big on me. Also, at 5’5”, I found myself wishing the slit were just a touch higher for a bit more drama. If you’re taller, the placement may fall perfectly and give you that statuesque, effortless glide.
Overall, it’s a classy, romantic option and with the right fit and styling, it could easily become someone’s unforgettable bridal moment.
