Afternoon Delight: A Birthday Tea Celebration

Today I celebrated one more trip around the sun! Yes today is my birthday!  I wanted to do something really fun and girly and play dress up lol. That’s when I got the bright idea to head to a tea room. We have a very nice Hilton hotel in my area, so I called to make a reservation for their high tea.

It’s a new addition they offer now with a traditional, champagne or sparkling cider tea experience. The different packages include sandwich soldiers, scones, mini sweets, macarons, clotted cream and jam. You can also ask for their “gluten free” options as well.

I invited my girlfriend Gail to tag along with me since she has an upcoming birthday too! We both are tea connoisseurs and we always have a great time finding new tea houses to try. So now we can add Dahlia’s Restaurant and Porch to our list. It was the perfect thing to do on a pretty afternoon.

The service was amazing and the staff did an exceptional job preparing everything. Dahlia’s would be the perfect backdrop for a day out with your girlfriends, birthday celebration, mommy and me day or even a bridal shower. We sipped on black tea & camomile flavored teas which were tasty.

The tea sandwiches were plentiful we had egg, chicken and ham sandwiches, so good! We were very impressed with everything and was stuffed. I must say that Gail and I have been to plenty of tea rooms but this restaurant stood out because of the atmosphere, the friendly staff, tea and the food. For us two, the bill only came out to be around $65, we were blown away! Most tea rooms are usually $100 and up. So that’s a pretty good deal, if I must say so. See all the fun we had inside and stop in for your very own experience, you won’t be disappointed!
