Colman Domingo Turns a Robbery into a Runway Review on SNL

Dapper, daring, and delightfully unserious, Colman Domingo took his fashion-forward flair straight to Studio 8H as he guest-hosted Saturday Night Live and let’s just say, the sketches were stitched together with pure comedic couture.

In one standout moment, Domingo transformed into the wildly dramatic Professor D’Artagnan Meringue of New York’s oh-so-fabulous “Fashion Institute of Design,” where even a crime scene turns into a critique session. After witnessing an armed robbery alongside his equally theatrical students Marcello Hernández, Chloe Fineman, and Jane Wickline he delivered not justice, but…fashion commentary.

Interviewed by a baffled reporter (Ashley Padilla), Domingo’s professor didn’t describe the suspect oh no he described the look.
“Be on the lookout for a mess!” he said with conviction. “Class, assist this woman. Describe this man’s drip!”

And the students? Completely committed to the bit and the fit.

When one student fumbled the assignment, Professor Meringue snapped with runway-level shade: “Gabby, you are not cut out for this! Transfer immediately to a normal college!” Brutal. Chic. Necessary?

Fineman’s Delaney didn’t hold back either, reading the suspect’s outfit like a clearance rack:
“The ‘fit must’ve been standing in the unemployment line… because it was not working.”

Meanwhile, Hernández’s Roscoe delivered the final blow with a review no stylist could recover from:
“It was giving ‘style by Stevie’… and I mean Stevie Wonder.”

Between the dramatics, the deadpan delivery, and fashion critiques sharper than a stiletto heel, the sketch proved one thing: even in chaos, Colman Domingo will always choose style first… facts second. More inside and video clip..
