With summer in full swing inspiring transitional colors are taking the center stage. With the 1970’s fashions reemerging, Mehron is capturing the era’s spirit and style that made it famous. From the bright pastel eye makeup offset by perfectly shaped and filled brows, Paloma Romo, a runway makeup artist, created two strong looks that are easy to recreate using the beautiful color selection from Mehron makeup. Here are Paloma’s top tips for achieving the 70’s style – intensely saturated with mesmerizing pastel hues:
COMPLEXION: even out the skin with Célèbre PRO HD Foundation.
EYES: To achieve a hi-editorial eye look create a base on the entire lid from lash line to the brow bone with a mix of colors from the E.Y.E Palette in Natural, Wheat & Cinnamon.
Use Mehron Paradise in Yellow on top of the eyelid and top it off with a hint of Clear Stone Gloss. Or if you feel a bit blue, switch to Paradise in Teal.
LASH LINE & LASHES: Lightly line the bottom of the eye with Black E.Y.E Powder from the 8 Color Palette. On the upper lash line, Paloma used the Eye Liner in Black to create soft winged eyeliner.
Coat the lashes with Mascara PRO.
BROWS: Fill in the brows with a pencil. For a natural effect use the Brow Pencil in Taupe.
CHEEKS: Using fingers, dab in a touch of the Cheek Cream in Pink Coral for a hit of a healthy flush. To highlight the cheek bones use the Precious Gems in Champagne just on the highest point so the cheeks.
LIPS: Contour the lip with the Lip Liner in Darling to ensure a long lasting an even application. Fill in the lips with a mix of shades from the Mehron Night Palette in Raspberry & Big Apple for a strong and sexy pout.
MUST HAVE PALLET FOR 70’s GLAMOUR: Mehron’s INtense Pro Pressed Powder Pigments in FIRE. The Pressed Pigments are super long-lasting matte finish shadows that are edgy, bright, and sophisticated. Their pigment rich, high-performing shadows offer an essential range of intense hues and a velvety matte texture.
