Hey guys I hope that you are having an amazing weekend! For the last several months I have been out house hunting. Not sure if we are going to buy or rent again but its fun to see what’s out there. As some of you may know that have been reading for awhile, our townhome was featured on HGTV a few years back when Vern Yip re-designed our living and dining room space but we no longer live there.
Currently while my husband takes care of the property he co-owns in Ohio, we have been in limbo with our living situation. So he is living in two places for now, till the house sales that his dear grandma left him. Mr.Reed also has land in South Carolina that we plan on building a retirement home on one day. Me and the kids are living in an apartment that we like but we are definitely running out of space. We like it here, its pretty quiet but its time to move on. So we have been looking at townhomes, houses and condos. My husband likes to have lots of land but we bicker about that because honestly, he is NEVER here, so me and the kids will be the ones out there mowing the lawn and raking leaves, and its HOT down here…no mam!
We have a pre-approval for a mortgage loan, so I have been taking it slow looking around, seeing whats out there but once again, Im taking baby steps. Not sure what we are looking for but in my area, they are rezoning the schools too, so I have about three months to find something in my son’s school district. I love their school and want Pootie to also graduate from the same high school as my daughter. Its a lot to think about and it definitely makes you wonder if you want to buy or rent. I’m still up in the air about everything but right now I have been taking a lot of pics, face timing my husband and showing him places and trying to make a wise decision. I know so many people in upside down mortgages right now, it scares me! I don’t want to be stuck somewhere I don’t want to live or when we could have gotten a better deal on another property, its so much geesh! I remember Clark Howard(radio personality here in Atlanta) told me to sit still and that it was a buyer’s market right now, we shall see.
In the meantime, check out some homes, interior designs and more I have been pinning on my Pinterest board. It’s my wish list for our next home. Enjoy your weekend! xoxo
