Taraji P. Henson Hosts "Celebration of Gospel" Premiering Sunday

Gospel and soul’s biggest names united in song during the 15th Annual “Celebration of Gospel” taping at the historic Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Golden Globe® winning actress Taraji P. Henson (“Empire”), the night was filled w ith unforgettable traditional and contemporary gospel collaborations and surprise appearances including Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Chaka Khan, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Erica Campbell, Tamela Mann, Tank, Malcom Jamal Warner, Chrisette Michele, Deitrick Haddon and more. “Celebration of Gospel” premieres Sunday, January 31 at 8 P.M. This year’s “Celebration of Gospel” continued the tradition of unique mash ups between the best in soul and gospel music. R&B crooner Tank teamed up with gospel powerhouse Yolanda Adams, funk legend Chaka Khan joined Donnie McClurkin for a stirring showcase and soul singer Anthony Hamilton brought the crowd to its feet in a duet with the legendary Pastor Shirley Caesar.
