I’m continuing my husband’s birthday story at the Urban Oasis Bed and Breakfast . We pulled up to this colorful huge 5,400 sq ft building and the kids eyes got really big. None of us had any clue where we were going. We got out and Judi the co owner of the bed and breakfast greeted us. There were 3 hound dogs that greeted us and 2 cats too, Craig, Clyde, Clifford, Shelly and Murphy lol. They smelled us and went on about their business. My son was too excited because he is an animal lover!

When we all walked into the space we said wow! It was so big and colorful, with cool art work everywhere! I loved it and my hubby said to me, “you find the most unique things to do!” We hurried to our lofty rooms and plopped down on the beds. I met Judi downstairs in the kitchen and we started chatting like 2 old girlfriends lol.

She mapped out places that we could get dinner and just hang out at. Their bed n breakfast is right in the heart of Atlanta, so there was Inman Park, Little 5 Points and more!

The kids went to the garden area and started snapping pictures of the fish,flowers and nature while Big Terrell relaxed and watched movies. Judi introduced the kids to a game called, Banana Grams and I worked on my blog. It was very relaxing to get away and it was a very fun evening. Judi is also a licensed Psychologist so we chatted about life, friends, jobs and more. We stayed up late chit chatting.
Later on, I was wondering why Judi and Duane weren’t leaving and asked,”where do you guys live?” Judi and Duane laughed and looked at each other and said, we live here lol. I had no clue they actually lived on the premises lol. I told Judi I could never do that omg! I got a kick outta that because I thought they lived somewhere else lol.

I also got a delivery of Cakeballs by Nikki. She wanted my hubby to try her fab sweet treats too! We really enjoyed them, thanks Nikki!

In the morning, I woke up and was about to head downstairs to check on the kids but Buffy the Vampire Slayer scarred me half to death! It’s a life size poster that sits adjacent to our room, my heart dropped when I opened the door lol. Judi says she gets that kind of reaction all the time lol.
Judi made us a fabulous breakfast, while we laughed and chatted in our jammies. Her hubby Duane joined us but was off to the gym for an early swim. We had a great time and experience at our very first bed and breakfast! I would like to thank Judi and Duane for their lovely southern hospitality and if you are looking for a fun place to stay with a great twist, you should check them out! They have been featured on HGTV,many magazines and more! On our way home my hubby turned to me and said, “basically we spent a night at your girlfriend’s house?” I said, “you know what you’re right, that’s what it felt like” lol.
