Media Girls Network Celebrates Women’s History Month At City Hall

Councilmember Andrea Boone partnered with Tiara LaRae Johnson and Media Girls Network in Celebrating Women’s History Month. Over 200 Women gathered at Atlanta City Hall to Celebrate Women’s History Month. Atlanta has a storied history of women leading in academia, business, government, faith, philanthropy, entrepreneurial , medical and entertainment community has long been led by women.

This year’s theme, “ Women Making History, Treasuring the Present and Shaping the Future” highlights the overall objective since 1987, the month of March has been recognized officially in the United States as an annual celebration of the achievements, leadership, courage, strength, and love of the women who built America. A Day of Motivation, Talent, Showcasing Businesses and Honoring Women. Honorees included: Alicia M. Ivey, Santana Kempson-Wright, Tameka Foster, Stormi Steele, Princess Banton- Lofters, Brii Renee, Jazzy McBee and Lindsey Ford. See more inside and more photos….
